Face of Mankind is a Massively Multiplayer Online (Action) Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) that exists in a single persistent universe. Here, you will control a single character in a world with significant science-fiction influences set in the 24th Century and beyond.
The game environment in Face of Mankind will change constantly due to the player-driven nature of most of the content in Face of Mankind. The environment will constantly evolve and be moulded by the thousands of players who have vastly diverging opinions on how they wish to lead their lives in Face of Mankind; be it to cooperate and prosper with others, to engage in brutal competition, or to attempt to co-exist in a peaceful, but uneasy détente. This is the realistic world that is Face of Mankind, one that is shaped by human nature, for better or worse, in a perpetual struggle for power and riches between the eight rival factions.
These eight factions represent the organizations that have grown to such a size that they have become major power brokers unto themselves, having no small influence on the direction of the entire human race. They can be divided into three main types – 1. Law Enforcement/Military; 2. Megacorporations; and 3. Clans. All players are considered citizens of the Dominion, the government and state that governs all mankind, and frequently band together in their factions and across factions to become a force to be reckoned with. The leaders of each of the eight factions are players as well, and are democratically elected by the members of their faction, and this gives all players a chance to make an impact on how their faction is run by their superiors.
Players enjoy full control over the success of their character in Face of Mankind, by employing their own wit and skill, all mixed in with a little luck to help things along. As in the real world, the factions that the players in Face of Mankind join behave like organizations with proper hierarchies, and players will need to learn how to do their best to climb the social, corporate, and even political ladders through their interactions with their fellow players. Ultimately, the objective of the game is to develop your character to the best it can be; be it in the accumulation of wealth, power, social status – or anything else you wish to achieve.
Face of Mankind is played via our client that is available for download for free, and you will be able to play indefinitely at no extra cost. There is also an option to subscribe for a premium account to receive enhanced benefits that will help to make the game a more fulfilling experience, but nevertheless, regardless of whether you own a premium or free account, it is your skill in manipulating your character in its interactions with your fellow players that will ultimately decide on your success in Face of Mankind.
