Umbrella Corps aims to provide a deep, concentrated multiplayer shooter experience like those offered by contemporary eSports. This title packs in classic Resident Evil gameplay elements, such as menacing zombie hordes. We’ve stripped out excessive theatricality and constant respawning, and pruned away the story elements.

But that doesn’t mean we’re bringing a diminished game experience to the table: we’ve flexed our creative muscles to bring you fresh, new ideas that enhance player agency, and we’ve crammed in enough variation to provide endless strategic potential through the new Close-Quarter in Quarantined Battle Zone technique.

Even the infected need brains to move, and the spinal cord remains a weak spot even in those who have mutated. The Cronus (a.k.a., the Brainer) is designed to concentrate power on its curved tip in order to destroy the spinal cords of the infected. Also, like the ice axes used in mountaineering, this device is indispensable for climbing.

The Tactical Shield acts as a countermeasure to bites, the infecteds’ main method of feeding and their most dangerous weapon. Its specially-developed resin is not only resilient, but also difficult to detach from once bitten. If a user is skilled enough, they could purposefully let an infected bite the device, and then use that infected as a shield.

Infected are driven by an insatiable hunger; losing a leg or two won’t stop them from crawling after their prey. The Terrain Spikes were fashioned to combat crawling infected in close quarters, letting users crush zombie skulls with ease.

TIPS

Hordes of infected inhabit the quarantine districts, and the other mercenary groups in the area make combat unavoidable. Here are some tips on Umbrella Corps’ special systems to help you survive the battle.

Umbrella Corps uses an analog cover system that lets you choose how much cover to use.  By pressing the trigger down fully, you can aim accurately at your target, but this will take you out of cover and expose you to enemy fire. On the other hand, if you press the trigger lightly, you can shoot at enemies while still behind cover, but your shots will be less accurate. Attack or defense? Choose the right strategy for the right situation.  This ground-breaking system gives you precise control with the touch of a button.

Your main arm excels in fire rate, power, and attack range, meaning it can be used to deal with a variety of different situations. On the other hand, using a side arm that you can hold with one hand automatically raises your Tactical Shield, which acts as an effective countermeasure against headshots.
